In Person Audition | OPEN CALL | June 7th -8th 2025
Attention: Starting September 5th, 2024, the audition, both online and in person, will cost €24.20 including VAT.
Please note that auditions from individuals with less than two years of prior experience as a corps de ballet member will not be considered. If we detect that this requirement has not been met, we will reject your application and you will forfeit the fee paid for the audition.
Ballet de Catalunya is currently recruiting dancers proficient in both classical and contemporary dance for our main company.
DO NOT APPLY if you don’t have a minimum of two years of experience as a corps de ballet or soloist.
Applications failing to meet this requirement will not be considered, and no responses will be sent to these applicants.

On June 7th, all candidates will participate in a ballet class and perform a variation and a contemporary solo. At the end of the day, results will be posted online, indicating those advancing to the second day, June 8, which will include a ballet class, company repertoire, and brief interviews.
*NOTE | Citizens from outside the European Union may apply only if they have a sponsor who can cover the costs associated with obtaining a work permit and visa for Spain. Alternatively, they may apply for an unpaid internship position.

Candidates will be pre-selected through the online pre-registration and they will be invited to take class and rehearse the company’s repertoire for 1 day long.
June 7th to June 8th, 2025
> Minimum Age – 20 years old
> Minimum Height – 160 cm for ladies and 178 cm for gentlemen
> Experience – minimum 2 years in a similar position
> Technique – high technique in classical dance and contemporary

Final Results Announcement
BetweenJune 10 and June 20, 2025, the final list with the names of audition participants, their scores, and ranking will be published on this page. The top 4 ranked candidates will be offered contracts, and the following 4 candidates will be designated as reserves, always when the audition was passed with more than 85 pts.
Important Note
At Ballet de Catalunya, we do not eliminate candidates based on the ballet class or variation to respect the dedication and efforts of each dancer. While candidates will be assigned a number for organizational purposes, this is solely for administrative use; we see each participant as an individual, not just a number.
Accommodation Recommendation
We recommend that candidates arrange accommodation for the night of June 7. Even if you do not proceed to the second day of auditions, you will have the opportunity to explore the beautiful city of Barcelona.
Please bring your music in a PEN DRIVE (USB Key).
Please prepare a classical variation and a contemporary solo.

At Ballet de Catalunya, we offer flexible enrollment options ideal for international students, including those from countries like Australia. Auditions are open for the Trainee 1 and 2 programs, and you can apply to the program with the start date that is most convenient for you.

Our auditions at Ballet de Catalunya are open to everyone, regardless of their location. For individuals coming from overseas, we recommend opting for a video audition to minimize unnecessary travel expenses. However, for those living in Europe, or anyone who is able to travel, attending an in-person audition on the published dates is an option. We welcome all interested dancers to apply and showcase their talent.
