Professional Training
Professional Training develops strength, artistry, creativity, and discipline through classical ballet and additional techniques while preparing the dancer for further dance studies and a professional career.
All the School’s students take part in the School Spring Showcase. Students are offered the opportunity to take part in BNC’s performances such as “The Nutcracker”, always when casted.
Pre-Professional 1
For students 9-13 years old; attendance is two times a week for ballet class, pointe class, contemporary, repertoire and physical training
Students are expected to consistently demonstrate correct alignment and vocabulary of previous years. Focus is on coordination as exercises in allegro and adagio become more challenges

Registration for this program are open starting July 25th, 2024 and closes on October 5th 2024.

Registration Office will be open from Monday to Friday from 09:30am to 8pm, except the period from August 5th to August 15th, 2024, due vacation period.
Registrations for students under 18, must be done by a parent/guardian.
Pre-Professional 2 intermediate
For students 13-16 years old; attendance is two times a week and includes:
- Ballet class – 2 times per week.
- Contemporary – 1 time per week
- Pointe class – 1 day a week.
- Repertoire – 1 day a week.
- Body Conditioning – 1 time per week.
In addition, Pre-Profesional 2 intermediate will have one supplemental class such as jazz, flamenco, or character. Emphasis is on developing a more mature approach and understanding of the classical vocabulary. Classes become increasingly more challenging and students are expected to demonstrate the technical skill and stamina required for this syllabus.P

- Contemporary – 2 times per week
- Pointe class – 2 days a week.

- Body Conditioning – 1 time per week.
Pre-Profesional 2 advanced students will focus on refining their technique and artistry with a diverse offering of movement with BNC’s instructors and guest teachers. A variety of dance and performance enrichment opportunities will be offered such as showcase and spring performance, in conjunction with community volunteer and performing programs and events. Academic senior year students, upon completion, will graduate from BNC School with a certificate from BNC’s highest Professional Training completion

Trainee 1
For students 17-20 years old. Trainee 1 & 2 is designed to prepare the student for a professional career in ballet by refining the classical foundation and honing artistry and facilitating the transition to the professional career. The Trainee 1 program is under the school management unlike the Trainee 2 program which is totally under the company direction.
Students in Trainee 1 program are working 2 times per week with the main company, on Tuesday and Thursday.
In addition, Trainee 1 students may be considered for corps work with Ballet de Catalunya Company throughout the season.
Attendance is six times a week and includes:
- Ballet class – 6 times per week.
- Pointe class – 4 days a week.
- Repertoire – 4 days a week.
- Contemporary – 2 times per week
- Choreography and Improvisation – 2 times per week
- Rehearsals with the company – 2 times per week
- Pas de deux – 2 times per week with the main company’s dancers.

No audition is required for this program.

The Registration Fee is Not Refundable.
- A 20% of Discount will be applied always when the Registration Fee and the Year Tuition Fee are paid in full before 25th of September 2022.
- a 10% of Discount on Tuition Fee will be applied if there are 2 or more members of the same family.
